Recall Eddie Wang
Eddie Wang has violated the public trust and his financial responsibilities and is no longer fit to serve as Zone 7, school board director.

As the Chair of the Portland Public Schools Board, he oversaw the award of a $62 million contract to Texas consulting firm, Procedeo. The contract is for the management of $1.5 billion. This money is for the rebuild of Cleveland, Ida B. Wells, and Jefferson High Schools, as well as the Center for Black Excellence.
Wang oversaw the discussion of the contract, refused to allow dissenting voices to speak and has shown no interest in monitoring the contract.
A recent audit found:
1. The district has overpaid the consultant more than $700,000.
2. There was favoritism and bias in the way the board selected Procedeo.
3. The contract disproportionately favors the contractor.
4. The school board did not adequately scrutinize the contract.
5. Wang oversaw the discussion of the contract, refused to allow dissenting voices to speak and has shown no interest in monitoring the contract.
Why You Should Care:
35%
Of your property tax dollars go to PPS.
25%
Of those dollars go to the bond.
Wang is wasting your tax dollars!
How You Can Help:
We need to gather ~39,000 signatures to get the recall petition on the ballot.
Here’s What I Need:
People to hook me into community meetings so I can get the word out, enlist volunteers, and gather signatures.
People willing to take a sheet or two and gather 10 to 20 signatures from family/friends.
People willing to take a signature gathering shift. Approximately 2 hours of gathering signatures, almost anywhere in Portland, at an event like a street fair, farmers market, or school sporting event.
People I can brainstorm with.
If you can do any of these tasks, please contact me by phone or email: Mike Rosen, michaelrosen503@gmail.com or 503-309-9894
